Recent fines and bans for their tapping up of individuals has meant they are stuck with what they have.

Even Kalou, who was on his way out the club to Scunthorpe or Barnsley has been given a new contract. With 6 key players in to their 30's, no possibility of buying their way to stardom again and an owner renowned for his lack of patience, are Chelsea doomed without spending?

I think the squad they have will just about do them until they can start signing players again.

Fernando Torres limped out of training with the Spain squad but his injury is not thought to be serious.

The Liverpool striker abandoned the training session as a precautionary measure when he pulled up with a groin problem, but was later able to exercise on his own in the gym.

Torres should be fit for Spain's World Cup qualifying double header which is good news for coach Vicente del Bosque, who is already without Valencia forward David Villa who pulled out of the squad earlier this week with a hamstring injury.

With Spain having already booked their ticket to South Africa, Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez will hope La Roja do not risk Torres, who has scored eight goals in seven league games this season.

Spain face Armenia on Saturday before visiting Bosnia-Herzegovina four days later as they aim to see out their qualifying campaign with a 100% record.

Like yourselves, you've done the treble 2 years running now, lost 3 every year

I tend to remember Chelsea getting beat by us without Torres and Gerrard playing, maybe we should consider that next time we play.

Could be hit hard if they can't sign anyone in January. Don't expect the ban to be fully imposed though. Bet they get it down to just the January window

PostSubject: Re: ARE CHELSEA DOOMED WITHOUT SPENDING?   Thu Oct 08, 2009 3:03 pm

The Department of Health has released and urgent alert about what is being called Chelsea FC Disease. It is brought on when reading, hearing or watching anything about Chelsea FC transfer news and the symptoms are vomiting, headaches and uncontrollable rage.

On Wednesday afternoon, around the time that Sky Sports announced that Chelsea FC had made a bid for Barnet
Chinese striker Pantsi Tuwat, the rate of 999 calls increased by 73.5m% which is ironically the same amount of pence that they had bid for him. Reports of mass puking, utter disgust and outbursts of violence poured into the Emergency Services who where unable to deal with the increase in demand.

Chelsea were understood to have offered personal terms including a salary of approximately £1 per-game AFTER tax.

Sue Bright from North London was at home with her husband when he suddenly contracted the illness. She said, "I was in the kitchen and the next thing I know I hear Ian being sick. I went in to check that he was ok and he was smashing the TV against the wall. He was covered in sick and was more angry that I have ever seen him. I am so worried about him."

This is just one of the many cases across the country and people are calling for Chelsea to stop ruining football with their foreign, illegally and fraudulently earned cash and play the game the way it has meant to be played and run the club as a business like everyone else.

The DH have advised everyone, other than people associated with Chelsea, to avoid reading, watching or listening to anything about the club or risk being infected with the disease and risking the possible side effects. At this time there is no know cure for the illness.

In other news Manchester City and Sunderland were handed a transfer budget of £250m and £100m respectively. Chelsea fan James Bruce said, "It isn't right them spending as much money as us, there should be a cap on their spending."
