Thought i'd copy Redderz - post on Liverpool forum and put ours on here

Everton thrashed Wimbledon 8-0 in a League Cup game ON THIS DAY in 1978. Bob Latchford scored five of Everton's goals and Martin Dobson netted a hat-trick as the Dons were soundly beaten. Wimbledon had only been members of the Football League for 12 months and were still a Fourth Division side - although ten years later they were n the top flight and winning the FA Cup
