Everytime i see his face, i think of that interview when he said "there's no translation in Danish of baptism of fire" or something like that - what a guy!

Aye he was speaking entirely in some Scandinavian language to one of their tv channels and then in the middle of it said the phrase 'baptism of fire'.

Apparently he can speak 8 different languages.

He's managed some of the biggest and best clubs in the world. Any top 4 club would be lucky to have him.

Just checked his history, as well as managed Inter Milan on two separate occasions of course, he's managed Switzerland, Finland, Udinese, Grasshopper Zurich, Blackburn (which I vaguely remember), Bristol City, Malmo, United Arab Emirates and Fulham amongst many more.

He can do it at any level club or country. Superb manager.

What also is quite annoying is when people talk about the great English managers and Roy Hodgson dosent really get mentioned whereas people like Redknapp and Allardyce do!! Like Redknapp spent a fortune and Pompey and Spurs and Allardyce has only thus far done an outstanding job for one club - Bolton.

About time Hodgson got a mention!

Definitely.

I think its just because Hodgson moved away from England for so long so was out of our media. He deserves all the plaudit he gets.

I've just read that last season Fulham's 7th place under Hodgson is actually the highest Fulham have EVER finished in England's professional leagues. EVER - since they were founded. Thats one hell of an acheivement.

It is Local. And consider that two seasons ago Fulham were virtually relegated when he took charge and he managed to keep them up, that was a miracle. Then during a season where people expected them to struggle again he got them 7th!! Remarkable!!

And he's a humble guy aswell, not a cocky wanker or a nob like Rednkapp or Allardyce. The guy oozes class and I hope he gets another chance to manage an elite club
