If we get promoted then we may bring someone worthy of the shirt, I'm not sure Carroll is quite ready for it yet even in 2 years. He's more than welcome to prove me wrong though

I've seen some shite players wear that shirt Fuzzy over time and it's only since the squad numbers came in that I think it's a bigger burden to carry than it was years ago. You always remember the number 9's, sadly there's a lot I wish I couldn't remember wearing it

oh aye...but on the flip side if he lays like he did for 90mins vs forest he'll be lucky if he gets the number 9 shirt for Gateshead nevermind Newcastle. He just needs to be more consistent.
