PostSubject: Mopeds/Motorbikes et al   Sun Jun 14, 2009 5:26 pm

I live in the suburbs outside Leeds city centre and a car is pointless to get to work as its actually easier to get a bus. Benn thinking about maybe investing in a moped/motorbike runaround thing.

Anyone know first of all:

i. is it a good idea?
ii. how much do they cost to buy and cost to run?
iii. any advice needed if i got one?

I've never had one before by the way and its not something I'll do on a whim (it'll need thinking time and everything) but just been thinking about it recently.

thats the thing MM, dinnat want to look like a silly chav with one - just to get easy access to work and back and that.

I'll get looking at some of them Puve, cheers for the tip.

As i said, I'm not exactly set on one but if they're inexpensive to buy and run I don't see why not. Ok

only reason I ask is cos a lot are coming up second hand in west yorkshire to buy.

well thats exactly what i DON'T want then, mate. I just want a motorcycle/moped/scooter that is reliable, cheap, won't fuck up and will last a while.

Don't care much about how powerful or how fast it goes or anything.
